I'm having problems getting shows off the archive. Whenever I try downloading a file it says I'm already downloading when I am not clearly doing any such thing. The ftp server won't let me connect at all, I put the e mail I put to get my library card and the one for the forums.

What do I do?
Please help!!!

I dont know what the problem is. Here are a couple of possibilities:
* the IP connection limit on the ftp and http servers say you are already downloading and you are not: this is a pain. the only way I have gotten around this is to wait 10 minutes. I have found using an ftp client to be a good way to go (like smartftp) because it does not use multiple connections, one for each track.
* you are trying to a machine that is currently down. You can check status from the www.archive.org/audio page on the left hand side. check the machine you are downloading from. we had power problems yesterday and etree08 is still out.

I hope this is helpful.
